Bar Opening Times

Bar opening hours are dependent upon the availability of either a works scheme duty member or a bar duty volunteer. On special events and race days these timings may vary.

Look for notices in the clubhouse and on the web page and check out the fixtures list.

Although our licence allows for more extensive opening hours, the management committee have set the following opening times for which a duty bar person is required:

Thursday evening from 19.30 to 23.00 hours

Friday evening from 19.30 to 23.00 hours

Saturday lunchtime from 12.30 to 16.00 hours

Saturday evening from 19.30 to 23.00 hours

Sunday lunchtime from 12.30 to 16.00 hours

Bank Holidays from 12.30 to 16.00 hours*

from 1930 to 2300 hours*

*providing there is a volunteer or duty assigned

DUTY IS COMPLETE 30 MINUTES AFTER TIME CALLED.

On occasion, an onsite Flag officer, Duty Officer or the Honorary Bar Manager may elect to take on the responsibility of extending the opening hours by taking over responsibility of running the bar from the duty bar person provided this can be done within the permitted supply of alcohol hours.

Electricity swipe cards for the meters at Salterns and workshop are available to purchase from the Bar, Ian Saxil Nielsen who can normally be found on Salterns Pontoon on his boat Jenny Wren and Catherine at Fareham Marina Office.
