Winter Talk - Tom Barnett, Network Commander HM Coastguard

Friday 12th January 19:30 we have our first winter talk of the season. We will have the honour and pleasure of welcoming Tom Barnett, Network Commander HM Coastguard Operations, Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) based here in Fareham!

Tom gave a short presentation to a meeting of local club flag officers recently which was excellent, both informative and very interesting to listen to. If planning a long passage you will learn what equipment having on your boat will trigger the fastest coastguard response should it be needed.

No need to book but advisable to get to the club in time to get a good seat. Bar opens 19:30 as usual ready for a 20:00 presentation to start. Below image from Haslar Yacht Club.
