NEW GALLEY PROCESS - PROPOSED CHANGES

As promised here is our update on the improvements we are working hard to introduce for the Galley.

We are making some changes to the process that is required for galley duties.

Currently you are expected to go shopping and pay for the food you will cook/prepare at the club and then claim the money back through expenses. If you are comfortable with this process, we are happy for you to continue in this way. However, to make things easier, quicker and less stressful, we are going to offer pre-prepared food that will be stored and made available at the club for you to prepare and cook. This will take away the need to go shopping, purchase ingredients, spend time preparing meals from scratch and claiming expenses through the club.

We are going to create a list of prepared foods available at the club for you to choose from before your galley duty. This list will be added to and kept up to date on the club website under the Galley section of the house tab, all you will need to do is let the Galley Manager (Carole Thomson) know what you are going to prepare in advance of your galley duty.

We are going to generate a monthly menu to display at the club so people are aware of what will be on offer for each weekend during that particular month.

We are hoping to introduce this option as soon as we can so, It won't happen overnight but we will get there. Please keep an eye on the Website, posters in the club and the UTC for further updates.
