HERE IT IS....AS PROMISED....DETAILS OF OUR NEXT SOCIAL EVENT.
The Delme Dash & Pewit Island Social Weekender.
Saturday 9th August - The Delme Dash lugger pub crawl. The lugger sailors will visit the Delme Arms, Castle in the Air, Salterns Pontoon & finally the Clubhouse - all in fancy dress (boats and people) - no racing rules - and with 2 in a boat - all pitting to do the best overall time in order to win first prize. Best fancy dress also wins a prize.
Back at the club house we will have the prize giving presentation, nibbles on the tables and an open mike afternoon/evening starting at 3pm and carrying on throughout the day. The bar will be open from 1230pm and will remain open all day until last orders at 1050pm. so come on all you singers, musicians, comedians and dancers, come and show us what you can do.
Sunday 10th August - The Round Pewit Island Race - Luggers and dinghies' will race to round Pewit Island and get back to the Clubhouse.
Once back at the Clubhouse we will have the presentation & prize giving followed by a BBQ, (Small charge) our Guest Ale (to be confirmed) and Live music from Sweet & Soul - a local young group. (featured at the Delme Arms Beer Festival this year). BBQ & Music will start about 2pm dependent on how the race is going, so come along and join in the fun.
